The Redskins were the losers, 23-7.br /br /Giants quarterback, Eli Manning, passed for 305 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He completed 21 of his 34 attempts.br /br /It was an emotional game for both teams. The Giants dealing with receiver, Plaxico Burress shooting incident which occurred November 28, 2008 and the Redskins honoring Sean Taylor before the game who died on November 27, 2007.br /br /“We can’t fly yet,” Justin Tuck said. “But on the football field, we’re playing pretty well. Obviously you try your best to stay grounded and stay humble about it, but right now we’re playing good football.” Tuck finished with six tackles.br /br /“Come Sunday, 1 o’clock, when the whistle’s blowing in between those lines, and you’re in the stadium, that’s the only focus you’ve got,” said linebacker Antonio Pierce, who happened to be involved with the Burress incident. “That’s the only thing this team ever does is focus on our opponent and the challenge that’s at hand. We had a lot of challenges obviously going into this game.” Pierce helped the Giants with five tackles against the Redskins.br /br /Giants running back, Brandon Jacobs had 9 carries for 15 yards in the first half. He finished with 71 yards, 1 touchdown and 21 carries. Derrick Ward had over 100 yards total.br /br /Giants receiver, Amani Toomer, had 5 receptions with 85 yards and 1 touchdown. Ward had 5 receptions with 75 yards and Domenik Hixon had 5 receptions with 71 yards. “That really kind of set our whole season going and focused in the right direction,” Toomer said. “And we’ve been answering every call ever since.”br /br /Redskins head coach, Jim Zorn, wasn’t satisfied with his teams performance. He believes everyone could have performed better, even himself. “To have the holder be able to drop the ball, look up, reset the ball, and have them kick it through was very upsetting. Shouldn’t have happened,” Zorn said. “That kind of set me off, and I started whining about everything. I was on everybody. I was even on myself.”br /br /Redskins quarterback, Jason Campbell, passed for 232 yards and completed 23 of his 34 attempts. Campbell led the Redskins with 38 rushing yards.br /br /“There’s still a long road ahead of us,” said Redskins running back Cinton Portis, who rushed for 22 yards with 11 carries. “We’re not out of the playoffs. Back two weeks ago, everybody was crucifying the Cowboys. Now they’re back to America’s greatest team. Now we’re in the same situation.”br /br /span style=”font-size:78%;”Yahoo Quotes/span
